Your documents live in a folder you can see. Export anything. Didn't pick the right model? Swap it anytime — every USBMind build reads from an open config file, not a locked package.
We started with one stack
USBMind began as a way to run a local model without sending anything to a server. We still install that stack on a stick — Ollama for the model, AnythingLLM as the interface — still require no account, and still leave nothing on the host when you unplug.
There is one service: a setup on a USB drive you send, or one we supply. We'd rather do that well than sell a catalogue of hardware we do not make.
The interface is AnythingLLM. The model layer is Ollama, built on llama.cpp. Three open-source tools, one setup. See the credits page for licenses and repositories.
